He was a veteran of the Revolutionary War. He served as a drummer boy. He was a Representative and State Senator for Berks and Dauphin Counties, PA. He was a delegate to the PA Constitutional Convention in 1790. He lived in 1800 in Tulpehocken Township, Berks County, PA. He and Elizabeth Ludwig appeared on the census of 1820 in Dover Township, Tuscawarus County, OH.
